A Holiday Cocktail Guide

Hosting a holiday party?  Here are a few simple, crowd pleasing ideas for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails to serve your guests! (All recipes are for one drink, can easily multiply quantities to make more than one!)

Hot Tea Toddy: Start by putting a bag of Teapigs spiced winter red tea, a shot (or two) of your favorite scotch, and a tablespoon Mikolich honey into a mug.  Boil a tea kettle full of water.  Pour the boiling water over the ingredients in your mug, and steep for 3-5 minutes.  Remove the teabag, add a slice of lemon and a cinnamon stick.  For the non-drinkers, just skip the scotch ;)

Egg Nog Latte: Grab a bag of Onyx Ozark Copper espresso for your espresso machine, and your favorite brand of egg nog.  Brew a double shot of espresso and pour it into a mug.  Steam 8 oz of egg nog the same way you would steam milk for a latte.  Pour the steamed egg nog over the espresso in your mug.  Sprinkle a dash of nutmeg and cinnamon on top of your drink.  Feeling boozy?  Spike your drink with a little coffee liqueur!

Caramel Bourbon White Hot Chocolate: Chop up one Om Nom Spiced White + Caramel bar and add it to a saucepan with 8 oz milk.  Put the saucepan over the stove on medium low heat and stir mixture until white chocolate melts.  Pour a shot (or two, or three) of bourbon into a mug.  Add white chocolate/milk mixture to bourbon and stir.  Top with whipped cream, and a drizzle of caramel sauce.  For non-alcoholic, skip the bourbon (obviously).

Spiced Irish Coffee: Brew up a cup of Onyx Framily Holiday Blend coffee.  Add a shot of whiskey, and a shot of Bailey's Irish Cream.  Top with whipped cream and sprinkle some pumpkin pie spice over the top.  For this one, you can grab non-alcoholic Irish Cream flavored creamer if you are avoiding alcohol.

Champagne Tea Punch: Brew a strong batch of iced tea using Teapigs spiced winter red tea.  Sweeten the tea to taste using some Mikolich honey.  Add 3 oz iced tea, 1 oz cranberry juice cocktail, and 4 oz champagne to a glass.  Bottoms up!  Swap the champagne for some cranberry apple cider for booze-free guests.
